After Vistara, AirAisa poised to induct Jet's aircraft

Apr 30, 2019 14:08 IST

After Vistara announced its plans to induct six Boeing 737s to its fleet, another joint venture of Tata and Malaysian Airlines - AirAsia India has also expressed interest in buying some of Jet's fleet. Besides mulling induction of a few Boeing 737s, AirAsia, which possesses 20 A320s is planning to induct five more of these planes- in an effort to grab slots freed up by Jet. DGCA last week had decided to allot the slots of Jet Airways only to airlines inducting new planes, drawing flak from airlines and its owners alike.
