"Priyanka will be a perfect choice to take over the party reins but it will all depend on the Congress Working Committee, which alone is authorised to make a decisin in the matter", he said.
This is not the first time that the Punjab CM has batted for a younger congress leadership. He had said that as the majority of the Indian population comprises of the youth, only a younger leader can connect with the people.
