Subedar Anandan Gunasekaran may have lost his leg at the Line of Control but he now stands at the cusp of making it to Tokyo Paralympics. In 2008, as part of a team sent to conduct a routine check at the LoC, Anandan lost his left leg when he stepped on a mine hidden in the snow. 11 years later, the 32-year-old is living his second life. Last week Anandan participated in the World Military Games in China and raced with a blade. He clinched gold in the 100m, 200m and 400m races. The final trial for the Paralympic games is in May and Anandan Gunasekaran is sure that he will qualify.
