One of Tokyo's most popular districts, Shibuya, recently added some unconventional new attractions to its public parks- see-through public toilets.
Designed by award-winning Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, the toilets have been created using smart glass that turns opaque the moment the cubicle is occupied. Done in vibrant hues of yellow, green and orange, the toilets look like stunning lanterns lit up at night.
The transparent walls seek to clear two doubts - first whether they're clean and second whether they're vacant
The structure was designed as a part of the Tokyo Toilet Project by a non-profit organisation called The Nippon Foundation.
