The security at the Sydney Cricket Ground came under fire on Friday as two protesters invaded the field of play and brought the 1st ODI to a brief halt. They carried placards denouncing India’s Adani Group’s coal project in Australia. One of the protesters got very close to the pitch in the 6th over, before the security escorted them out of the stadium. Interestingly, fans returned to the stadium for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic in March as 50% capacity was allowed inside the Sydney Cricket Ground.
