The International Energy Agency has given the last deadline for humans to change the course of the climate crisis. According to a Guardian report, 2020 is the last year of which only 6 months are left, to prevent a post-lockdown rebound in greenhouse gas emissions. The agency executive said that the next three years will determine the course of the next 30 years and beyond. Adding that if emissions are not controlled soon, it will become next to impossible to bring them down in the future. The agency said the CO2 emissions went down by 17% in April globally but shot up to reach a 5% range with last year's numbers as lockdowns were lifted in May.
