Analysts are watching the trends in monthly auto sales for some early signs of a turnaround. Maruti Suzuki's September sales declined over 24% year-on-year. However at 1.22 lakh units, it's an improvement over 1.06 lakh units in August. Meanwhile MG Motor reported retail sales of 2,608 units in September and said it has re-opened bookings for Hector SUV. However CV makers are struggling. Ashok Leyland's monthly sales came in at 8,780 units versus analyst expectations of 9,982 units, also slipping 55%, year-on-year.
