RCB coach Simon Katich open to IPL outside India

Apr 17, 2020 11:57 IST

With the BCCI looking for an alternate window for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League, RCB coach Simon Katich is open to the idea of having the IPL outside India if need be. During a chat with an Australian radio station Katich said that whether it would be in Australia or elsewhere, there would be a few teams, RCB in particular, who would be very happy for it to be played abroad. Katich went on to say that a number of their overseas players are Australians and South African and they would really enjoy the conditions Downunder. He added that because of the number of eyeballs that are on the IPL in India, it is potentially still very commercially viable if the cash-rich league is played in empty stadiums.
