A 65-year-old woman, who was jailed in Pakistan for 18 years after she lost her passport on a trip there, returned to India on Tuesday. Hasina Begum, a resident of Aurangabad, was received by her family and city police in an emotional reunion. Hasina said she was imprisoned in Pakistan forcefully after she lost her passport while visiting Lahore to meet her relatives 18 years ago. On return, she said that she felt like being in heaven. She also thanked Aurangabad police for filing a report in the matter.

The Bombay High Court on Tuesday granted bail to former CEO of TV ratings agency Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) Partho Dasgupta, who was arrested for his alleged involvement in the TRP Scam. Raut had said the Maharashtra government, the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC), and the Central Electricity Authority had set up separate committees to probe the cause of the power outage and their reports have been received.
