Ministers from six states have filed a review petition in the Supreme Court against its order allowing the government to hold NEET and JEE in September. The six opposition-ruled states that have approached the top court are West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Punjab and Rajasthan. The court had on August 17 dismissed a petition to postpone these exams. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee had suggested moving top court against the exams during the Covid-19 pandemic at an opposition CMs' meet earlier this week. National Testing Agency has decided to hold the JEE exams from September 1 to 6, and NEET on September 13.
