51 mild adverse reactions and 1 serious complication have been reported in Delhi after the first day of Covid-19 vaccination drive, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said on Sunday. A 22-year-old security guard who works at AIIMS had to be admitted to the hospital due to severe adverse effects after taking the jab, he is reported to be stable now.
Jain said that the mild side-effects experience by 51 health workers were observed only for a short while. 4,000 health workers were vaccinated in the national capital yesterday. Except for Centre-run hospitals like AIIMS all hospitals in Delhi were given Oxford's Covishield. The 6 Central hospitals were given Bharat Biotech's Covaxin.
