Tirath Singh Rawat will be the new chief minister of Uttarakhand

Mar 10, 2021 11:55 IST | By Editorji News Desk

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday announced Tirath Singh Rawat as the new chief minister of Uttarakhand. His name was announced after the BJP legislature party meet in Dehradun.

He will replace Trivendra Singh Rawat who resigned on Tuesday. Tirath Singh Rawat, the MP from Pauri Garhwal, served as the chief of Uttarakhand unit of the BJP from 2013 to 2015.

Trivendra Singh Rawat resigned after days of speculation about a leadership change in the state because of non-performance.
