Liverpool has won their eighth ever FA Cup final after beating Chelsea 6-5 on penalties at Wembley Stadium, London on Saturday.  
Liverpool star Mohammad Salah went off injured after playing just half an hour game. The game went to a non-event extra time as the two teams were tied 0-0 after 90 minutes. James Milner, Thiago Alcantara, Roberto Firmino, Trent John Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota netted for the Reds in a penalty shootout before Kostas Tsimikas’ final penalty scoring. Alisson Becker made excellent saves for the Reds.

Liverpool last won the Cup final in 2006. This was the first FA Cup final that went to extra time since 2007. With this defeat, Chelsea have now lost three FA Cup finals in a row.  
After this outstanding FA Cup win, Liverpool will now prepare for their Champions League final against Real Madrid on 29th May.

After edging past Chelsea on penalties in the League Cup final earlier this year, Liverpool once again beat the Blues in a similar fashion as they won the FA Cup final 6-5 on penalties at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
The scoreline read 0-0 after 90 minutes as the game went into extra time. Premier League side Chelsea brushed aside Krasnodar&nbsp;on their trip to Russia on Wednesday night as they won 4-0 on the road.&nbsp;Callum Hudson-Odoi,&nbsp;Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech&nbsp;and Christian Pulisic&nbsp;scored a goal each for the Blues as Frank Lampard's men crushed their Russian opponents in front of over 10,000 local fans. With 3 points from their away trip, Chelsea lead Group E ahead of Sevilla on goal difference.&nbsp;

In a breakthrough for gender equality within sports, FIFA named three female referees to officiate at this year's men’s World Cup for the first time in tournament history.
FIFA confirmed on Thursday that Stéphanie Frappart of France, Japan's Yoshimi Yamashita and Rwanda’s Salima Mukansanga were among the 36 referees who were chosen to officiate at the tournament. They will be supported by three female assistant referees.

Notably, 36 referees, 69 assistant referees and 24 video match officials have been selected to take the field in Qatar in November and December.
Talking about the development, the chairman of FIFA's referees committee Pierluigi Collina said "I would hope that in the future, the selection of elite women's match officials for important men's competitions will be perceived as something normal and no longer as sensational."

FIFA&nbsp;confirmed on Thursday that&nbsp;St&eacute;phanie Frappart of France, Japan's&nbsp;Yoshimi&nbsp;Yamashita&nbsp;and&nbsp;Rwanda&rsquo;s Salima Mukansanga&nbsp;were&nbsp;among the 36 referees chosen to officiate at the tournament.
