Indian chess player Humpy Koneru made the country proud as she bagged the women’s World Rapid champion title in Moscow. The winner was determined in a playoff that ended with Humpy beating her Chinese opponent in the Armageddon. What made the title even more special was the fact that Humpy had taken a 2-year break from chess as she became a mother. But within a year of returning to the game, she won a prestigious title. In 2002, Humpy became the youngest woman ever to achieve the title of grandmaster at the age of 15 years.
