2020 IPL gets government clearance, here are the details

In a major announcement, the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League has been cleared by the Indian government to be played in the UAE. The starting date remains September 19 but the final has been rescheduled to be played on November 10. Interestingly, this time around the evening matches will begin from 7:30 pm IST. Moreover, all the sponsors including Vivo have been retained. 24 player squads per franchise will leave for Dubai after August 26 and will be allowed replacements in case a player gets unwell. Initially, the games will be played behind closed doors but limited crowd may be allowed at a later stage.
