Arsenal edged past Premier League Champions Liverpool on penalties to win the Community Shield title at the Wembley on Saturday. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave Arsenal a good opening start with a goal in the 12th min. After playing catch up over the rest of the 1st half, Liverpool finally got a goal in through Japanese winger Takumi Minamino. Liverpool looked strong to complete a comeback but the Gunners kept a tight line of defence to prevent any further goals in regulation time. In the penalty shootout, Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster missed his kick which gave Arsenal the advantage as Aubameyang once again scored the final spot-kick to give Mikel Arteta's side yet another Community Shield title.
