Night curfew will remain in effect in four cities in Gujarat till February 15, the state government said on Saturday. The night curfew will be enforced between 11 pm to 6 am in the cities of Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot to prevent further spread of the novel coronavirus.
The state govt said the Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 96.94% but there is a need to remain cautious, vigilant and adhere to the prescribed containment strategy to prevent cases from rising.
The Gujarat government has also increased the cap on the number of guests allowed during a wedding in the state from 100 to 200. A banquet hall or community hall used for religious or entertainment purposes can also be utlitised for up to 50% of its seating capacity.
