A ten-meter-long male sperm whale has been freed by the Italian coast guard in the Mediterranean Sea after it got trapped in a large fishing net. The whale was unable to move its posterior fin. It was spotted by four biologists, who immediately called the coast guard to help. Several divers had to intervene in the rescue operation as its fin was terribly entangled. Once it was freed the sperm whale slowly restarted swimming and reached three other whales who were, apparently, waiting for him.
