Reports: Rahul Dravid could be Team India's next head coach

Reports also confirm that Dravid will step down as the NCA chief soon and will join Team India with Paras Mhambrey as the bowling coach

In a report confirmed by the PTI, former India captain Rahul Dravid is set to take over as the head coach of Team India after the World T20.

Dravid was reportedly reluctant to take up the role was convinced by BCCI President and his former captain Sourav Ganguly along with Secretary Jay Shah.

Reports also confirm that Dravid will step down as the NCA chief soon and will join Team India with Paras Mhambrey as the bowling coach replacing Ravi Shastri whose tenure ends after the World T20 in the UAE.

With a reported contract worth Rs 10 crore, Dravid will be in charge for a 2-year period and will become the highest-paid senior coach of Team India.

The former India captain has played 164 Tests, 344 ODIs and 1 T20 for Team India and has also coached an under-19 World Cup-winning side in the past.
