IPL 2022: Having won back-to-back matches after 8-consecutive losses, Mumbai Indians will eye a hat-trick of wins when they take on Kolkata Knight Riders for the second time in IPL 2022 on Monday at Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Kolkata dominated Mumbai in their previous meeting.

Five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians are already out of the race for the playoffs as they have won just 2 out of 10 matches and are placed at the bottom of the points table. Apart from the team's performance this season, players like Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma have been consistently performing well.

On the other hand, Shreyas Iyer led-Kolkata Knight Riders are also placed at the bottom half of the points table and have managed to win just 4 out of 11 matches. Even if they somehow win all of their remaining matches, their chances of qualifying for the playoffs are uncertain.
