IPL 2022: KL Rahul blames Lucknow's poor fielding for the Eliminator defeat vs Bangalore

Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul has blamed his team's poor fielding for their 14 run-defeat against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Wednesday in the IPL Eliminator.

In the post-match conference, Rahul said, "I think it's quite obvious - the reasons why we didn't win. We let ourselves down in the field. Dropping easy catches never helps."

However, the Indian batter who has been chosen as the Indian captain for the T20I series against South Africa next month was happy with the team's performance in their debut season. "We'll take back a lot of positives. It's a young team. They'll learn from their mistakes, go back home and try and be better players." said Rahul.

LSG had an amazing first IPL season as they remained in the top-four most of the time during the league stage and won 9 out of 14 matches.
