Eyes on Virat Kohli as Rohit Sharma & Co look to trounce England in ODI series decider

England’s Reece Topley countered Jasprit Bumrah’s show in the 1st ODI that the Rohit Sharma-led side had won.

India vs England, 3rd ODI : Ex-captain Virat Kohli’s form will again be under the scanner as India will look to finish the 3-match ODI series on a high against the Three Lions at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Despite Kohli’s bat narrating a dejected story, Captain Rohit Sharma has instilled his faith in the ‘quality’ of the 33-year-old cricketer.

A player's form goes up and down for any cricketer, that is part and parcel of any cricketer worldwide. Every cricketer passes through this phase. For someone who has played for so long and has won so many matches for the country needs just one of two innings, Rohit had said after 2nd ODI.

However, his game will be put to test again when India would look to bounce back from an embarrassing 100-run defeat in the 2nd ODI, that had levelled the series 1-1. England’s Reece Topley countered Jasprit Bumrah’s show in the 1st ODI that the Rohit Sharma-led side had won.

The Men in Blue would definitely look to fix their batting woes that showed up at Lord’s. Meanwhile, for Virat Kohli who would again try to find his mojo in Manchester, this will be his last chance to prove his mettle before India competes at Asia Cup in August 2022.

Though India look like a formidable unit on paper, coming from a terrific win, the momentum is fairly on the hosts' side. Moreover, the Three Lions have trumped India in their previous ODI series at home in 2018.
