IND Vs SA: Dinesh Karthik credits coach Rahul Dravid for match-winning knock

Crediting head coach Rahul Dravid hugely for clarity in his thought process, Karthik said the dressing room is a calm place right now it feels secure and fuzzy.

Dinesh Karthik proved to be the gamechanger for India as his 27-ball 55 played a pivotal role in India's massive 82-run victory in a must-win game in Rajkot.

Despite a poor start with the bat, India were still able to post a competitive total of 169 courtesy of some explosive batting by Dinesh Karthik & Hardik Pandya.

This was also DK's maiden half-century in T20Is. For Karthik who has played 155 international games across formats in his 18-year-long career, the knock will surely help him stake a claim for a place in the squad for the T20 World Cup.

Karthik, however, is at ease with the newfound success in the Blue jersey. The 37-year-old who featured for India in their inaugural T20 in 2006 against Proteas, credited the dressing room atmosphere for his batting prowess. In the post-match presentation, Karthik said, 'I am feeling very secure in this set-up, in the last game things did not go as per plan but today I went and expressed myself'.
