CWG 2022: Harmanpreet's team working on 'killing attitude' ahead of first clash vs Australia

It will be their debut appearance at Commonwealth Games when Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian side face the formidable Australian team at Edgbaston in the Group A match on Friday. And, the Indian skipper is clear that a victory in their first game would help them set the right tone for the matches to come at the marquee event.

The Women in Blue who are placed in Group A alongside Australia, Barbados, and Pakistan will begin their campaign on Day 1 of Birmingham 2022 against Australia, the team that has won the World T20 and the ICC Cricket World Cup in the last 2 years.

Speaking to the media on the eve of India's first game, Harmanpreet said that her team is working on a 'killing attitude' and while winning all games is important to her side, winning the first game is always more important to set the right tone.

The 33-year-old said, 'For us, all the teams are important and winning all the games is something very important when you're playing a moment like this, but, first game is always important because you have to set the tone for the team and then, you can just keep following what good things are happening for you'.
