Bangladesh's innings began cautiously as openers Fargana Hoque, who scored 30, and Rubya Haider, with 25, laid a foundation by adding 53 runs across 16.1 overs for the first wicket.

Significant contributions came from Sharmin Akter, who made 50 off 77 deliveries, and Shorna Akter, who remained unbeaten with an aggressive 51 off just 35 balls.

Skipper Nigar Sultana contributed a handy 32, while lower-order batter Ritu Moni chipped in with a swift 19 not out from 8 balls.

For South Africa, left-arm spinner Nonkululeko Mlaba was the standout performer with the ball, claiming 2 wickets for 42 runs.
