Volvo Cars has increased vehicle ex-showroom prices in India in the range of 2 to 4 per cent across its model line-up. The Volvo range now receives a price hike ranging between Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 3 lakh, depending on the model. The new prices come into effect immediately. However, the company has confirmed that it will offer price protection to customers who booked their cars on or before April 12. The Swedish automaker's entry-level offering, the Volvo XC40 gets a price hike of 3 per cent and now starts at Rs. 44.50 lakh. Similarly, the XC60 Petrol Mild-Hybrid gets a 4 per cent hike and now retails at Rs. 65.90 lakh. The Volvo S90 sedan received a 2 per cent hike and is now priced at Rs. 65.90 lakh. The flagship Volvo XC90 Petrol Mild-Hybrid has received a 3 per cent price hike and is now sold at Rs. 93.90 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
