Royal Enfield Begins Local Assembly In Thailand

Royal Enfield has commenced the local assembly of its motorcycles as completely knocked down kits at the brand’s new facility in Thailand. Set up in partnership with GPX, this announcement is a significant boost to the company's business in Southeast Asia and further reiterates Royal Enfield's commitment to the Asia-Pacific region. With the Thailand facility, Royal Enfield now has three local CKD plants located in Argentina and Colombia in Latin America, and now in Thailand. The bikes are built and exported from the company’s three manufacturing facilities located in Chennai in India. In addition to catering to consumers in Thailand, this assembly unit will act as a distribution hub for all other countries in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Vietnam among others. The company will begin local assembly of the Royal Enfield Himalayan, Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 motorcycles to begin with.
