New-Gen Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC Makes Global Debut

Mercedes-Benz has taken the wraps off the all-new C43 AMG 4Matic, the performance-bred sedan based on the C-Class. The all-new offering is based on the 5th generation C-Class and packs a new 2.0-litre downsized four-cylinder turbocharged engine with a mild-hybrid system. The new motor develops 402 bhp, 40 bhp more than its predecessor and 500 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to an AMG speedshift 9-speed transmission. The new motor comes with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that provides an additional boost of 13 bhp in some specific driving situations. The C43 AMG can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 4.6 seconds and has a top speed is limited to 250 kmph. Visually, the C43 AMG gets the Panamericana grille, twin exhaust tips, 18-inch light-alloy wheels as standard and more. The cabin is covered in Artico artificial leather along with an AMG steering wheel in Nappa leather with two AMG drive selectors. The Mercedes-AMG C43 also comes with AMG Ride Control with adaptive damping; three-stage ESP, rear-axle steering, AMG brakes and an exhaust system. The new C43 AMG will make its way to India in the future.
