Mahindra And Mahindra has denied any plans to restructure the company into three verticals, the automaker announced in a regulatory filing. The company clarified the same following a recent media report that stated the Indian auto giant was considering splitting up its auto business into an electric vehicle, a tractor and a passenger vehicle business through a demerger process. Just days after petrol and diesel prices were hiked in India, Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has increased the price of compressed natural gas or CNG by Rs. 1 per kilogram, in Delhi NCR. The price for one kg of CNG currently stands at Rs. 59.01 in Delhi, and the new rates come into effect from today onwards. CNG prices in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad stands at Rs. 61.58 per kg, while prices of CNG in Gurugram is Rs. 67.37 per kg. Earlier this week, state-run oil companies increased petrol and diesel prices for two days in a row by 80 paise and 90 paise respectively.

Stellantis has confirmed that its first electric vehicle for India will arrive in 2023. The announcement was made by Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares as he shared the company's EV strategy for India. Citroen will lead the charge on electrification for India, while Jeep is expected to follow suit in a few years. The first EV from Citroen is expected to be the EV version of the C3 crossover hatchback. The petrol version will arrive in June this year with the electric alternative scheduled for 2023. The C3's modular platform is also expected to spawn a compact crossover and a 7-seater MPV over the next two years. Each of those cars will also have an EV version. The company&rsquo;s biggest challenge though is to improve the localisation of its electric vehicles for India to make them cost-competitive. Stellantis will look to locally source batteries for its upcoming EV models to bring costs down further. EVs do form a huge part of the company's 'Dare Forward 2030' global plan, and they will play a role in India too, though not as aggressively.

The model comes with comprehensive upgrades that include a better range, more features and improved performance as well. The 2022 TVS iQube is offered in three variants - iQube, iQube S and iQube ST with prices starting at Rs. 98,564 for the standard trim, going up to Rs. 1.09 lakh for the iQube S. Prices for the iQube ST are yet to be revealed. The updated TVS iQube line-up gets 10 new colour options while the design language remains the same. Power continues to come from the hub motor with the top speed uprated to 78 kmph on the standard and S trims, and up to 82 kmph on the ST trim. The range has also improved to 100 km on the iQube and iQube S, going up to 140 km on a single charge on the iQube ST. Other upgrades include a new 7-inch touchscreen-based attractive user interface that comes with personalised themes, music player control, voice assist and Alexa compatibility. There&rsquo;s also the option of a 1.5 kW charger, while there&rsquo;s an additional 32 litres of under-seat storage space. Deliveries of the new TVS iQube and iQube S will begin immediately, while the iQube ST will be available at a later date.

A highly popular name in the Indian auto sector, the Hyundai Santro made the Korean brand popular in its first innings when it first went on sale in 1998. However, the model's resurrection in 2018 did not see the same kind of demand as the automaker would&rsquo;ve hoped for. The hatchback averaged about 1,500-2,000 units per month, which is low for a volume-friendly offering. It now seems Hyundai has decided to pull the plug on the Santro in order to consolidate resources and minimise supply chain constraints. The K-Light 250V is a V-Twin cruiser powered by a 249 cc air-cooled engine. On the other hand, the Keeway Vieste 300 is a maxi-scooter powered by a 278 cc single-cylinder engine. Lastly, the Keeway Sixties 300i is a retro-classic scooter with a design inspired by European scooters of the 1960s. It also draws power from a 278 cc engine. Keeway is owned by China's QJ Group, the same company that also owns Benelli. The Hungarian brand will operate under the management of Benelli in India. The company will announce prices for its upcoming offerings by next week while deliveries will begin by the end of the month. The company plans to launch 5 more two-wheelers by the end of the year.
