Audi Urbansphere Concept Unveiled

Audi has taken the wraps off the new Urbansphere concept, which has been designed as a cyber lounge for travel in metropolitan cities of the future. Originally designed for the traffic-dense Chinese megacities, Audi says the concept is suitable for any other metropolitan city in the world. The concept offers the largest interior space for any Audi and will double up as a lounge or office on wheels when stuck in traffic for long hours. The Urbansphere concept measures a grand 5.51 metres in length with the wheelbase measuring 3.4 metres. The concept is based on the Premium Platform Electric dedicated EV platform jointly developed by Porsche and Audi. Power comes from the dual electric motors splitting 396 bhp 690 Nm of peak torque. Power comes from a massive 120 kWh battery with a claimed range of 750 km on a single charge. With a focus on the interior, the Urbansphere concept gets individual seats, OLED screens, customisable lighting technology, as well as an air suspension to maximise comfort. The new Audi Urbanspehere concept joins the Skysphere Coupe and Grandsphere Sedan concepts showcased previously. The three models offer a glimpse of what to expect from Audi cars in the future.
