Thailand's Tom Kha Gai crowned best chicken soup globally by Taste Atlas

Tom Kha Gai, the acclaimed Thai chicken soup, has earned the prestigious title of World's Best Chicken Soup from Taste Atlas.

This highly nutritious soup boasts impressive medicinal properties, particularly in its soothing effect on the gastrointestinal tract.

Translated as "boiled galangal chicken soup," Tom Kha Gai is a delectable fusion of coconut milk, tender chicken pieces, galangal (a reddish-brown woody plant akin to ginger), lemongrass, garlic, bird's eye chili peppers, kaffir lime leaves, fish sauce and shiitake mushrooms.

Chef Pukar Thapa from Westin Gurgaon, lauds Tom Kha Gai, emphasising it transcends the realm of ordinary soups.
