Who is JEE Advanced topper Ved Lahoti? He believes social media is a waste of time

Ved Lahoti has broken all the records of the highest marks till date by scoring 355 marks out of 360 in the JEE Advanced. On June 9, IIT Madras released the JEE Advanced 2024 results for 1.8 lakh candidates.

As Lahoti broke the records, he said that it is a delightful moment for him as his hardwork of two years has paid off.

Lahoti from the IIT Delhi zone was preparing for JEE for the past two years and joined Allen Kota after Class 10. He also emphasised that this was his biggest decision in achieving his goal.

Talking about his preparation, Lahoti said that he believes in smart work rather than hard work. The JEE Advanced topper said that he read only as much as the teachers asked him to read.

He did not have a fixed schedule. Lahoti said his schedule was decided as per the classes and he never compromised on eight hours of sleep.

Other than studies, he took out time to play chess and cricket and his hobby is reading.

While talking about social media, he said it is a complete waste of time.

Ved Lahoti has been a studious student and his marks are proof of that. He scored 98.6 per cent in class 10th and 97.6 per cent in class 12th. He even secured AIR 119 in JEE Main 2023 with 295 marks out of 300.

Lahoti says his motivation is his mother, Jaya Lahoti, a homemaker and his maternal grandfather, RC Somani, a retired engineer. The JEE Advanced topper's father Yogesh Lahoti works as a construction manager at Reliance Jio.
