The Supreme Court granted Puja Khedkar, an IAS probationer accused of misusing OBC and disability quotas in the 2022 civil services exam, protection from arrest until February 14. A hearing is scheduled for that date.

Supreme Court grants protection from arrest to IAS probationer Puja Khedkar

The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted former IAS probationer Puja Khedkar protection from arrest until February 14. Khedkar, who faces allegations of cheating and wrongfully availing OBC and disability quota benefits in the 2022 civil services examination, sought anticipatory bail.

A bench comprising Justices B V Nagarathna and Satish Chandra Sharma issued notices to the Delhi government and the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in response to Khedkar's plea. The case has been scheduled for a hearing on February 14.

Khedkar, accused of misrepresenting details in her UPSC civil services application to gain reservation advantages, has denied all charges.
