Rahul Gandhi’s remarks spark row, BJP President Nadda hits back

Rahul Gandhi’s statement that “we are now fighting the BJP, the RSS, and the Indian state itself” sparked a political row on Wednesday. BJP President J P Nadda responded sharply, claiming Gandhi’s remarks reveal the Congress party’s “ugly truth.”

Nadda, in a post on X, accused Gandhi of aligning with urban naxals and forces aiming to “defame, demean, and discredit” India. He alleged that Gandhi’s repeated actions and statements have consistently worked towards dividing the nation and weakening societal unity.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Hidden no more, Congress’ ugly truth now stands exposed by their own leader. <br><br>I &#39;compliment&#39; Mr. Rahul Gandhi for saying clearly what the nation knows- that he is fighting the Indian state!<br><br>It is not a secret that Mr. Gandhi and his ecosystem have close links with Urban Naxals…</p>&mdash; Jagat Prakash Nadda (@JPNadda) <a href="https://twitter.com/JPNadda/status/1879437372762501362?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">January 15, 2025</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

During the inauguration of the new Congress headquarters, Gandhi criticized the BJP and RSS for allegedly capturing all national institutions, stating, “We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS, and the Indian state itself.” Nadda retorted, “The Congress’ hidden truth is now exposed by their own leader.”

Nadda further accused the Congress of historically supporting forces that weaken India, driven by a greed for power. He asserted that the Indian people are wise and will continue to reject Rahul Gandhi and his ideology.
