Major Gen. Vinayak Saini took oath as PPSC Chairman in a ceremony attended by Punjab's Governor and Chief Minister. Saini brings military experience to the role, highlighting commitment to transparent recruitment.

Major Gen. Vinayak Saini sworn in as PPSC chairman by Punjab governor

Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Wednesday administered the oath of office to the newly appointed Chairman Major General (Retired) Vinayak Saini in the presence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.

Chief Secretary KAP Sinha conducted the proceedings of the swearing-in ceremony at the Punjab Raj Bhawan here.

Congratulating the new PPSC Chief, Bhagwant Singh Mann assured full support and cooperation to PPSC for the selection of deserving candidates for various posts in a transparent manner.

Commissioned in the Corps of Engineers in December 1987, Major General (Retired) Saini belongs to Hoshiarpur and lives in Mohali. He retired from the Indian Army in October last year.

Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian, Principal Secretary to Governor VP Singh, Principal Secretary to CM Ravi Bhagat, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
