Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann's administration continues to prioritize the welfare of all societal segments, focusing keenly on senior citizens, widows, destitute women, individuals with disabilities, and vulnerable children. Under the aegis of Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur, the state is committed to executing social welfare initiatives with utmost transparency and efficiency. In a recent gathering at the Punjab Civil Secretariat, Dr. Baljit Kaur emphasized the significance of these welfare programs, underscoring their direct impact on ordinary citizens' lives. She insisted on the seamless and obstacle-free disbursement of benefits to entitled recipients. The discussion at the meeting revolved around essential welfare initiatives, including the Old Age Pension and financial aid for widows, destitute women, disabled persons, and orphaned children.
