Shiv Sena war: CM Eknath Shinde meets Uddhav Thackeray's close aide Milind Narvekar on Ganesh Chaturthi

While Shinde is the rebel whose mutiny led to the fall of the Shiv Sena-led alliance government, Narvekar is the personal secretary of former CM and Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray.

Amid the continuing tussle between the two factions of Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, a fresh development sent ripples in political circles.

On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the residence of Milind Narvekar. While Shinde is the rebel whose mutiny led to the fall of the Shiv Sena-led alliance government, Narvekar is the personal secretary of former CM and Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray.

When Shinde had rebelled against Thackeray in June 2022, and taken many MLAs to Surat, Narvekar - a close confidant of Uddhav Thackeray - had met the rebels for talks.

On his latest meeting with Narvekar, the Chief Minister said that he had gone to pay obeisance to Hindu god Ganesh.

Currently, Shinde and Thackeray are engaged in a battle to have their faction declared as the original Shiv Sena.
