Gwalior Police Captures Wanted Murder Suspect After Gunfire

Gwalior, June 23: Authorities in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, successfully apprehended a suspect wanted in a murder case following a brief exchange of gunfire in a forested area on Monday morning. The suspect, Bunty Bhadoria, sustained a leg injury from a police bullet during the chase and is currently receiving medical treatment at Jayarogya Hospital and Medical College, according to an official statement.

Senior Superintendent of Police Dharmveer Singh described Bhadoria as a notorious criminal, noting that he has around 25 serious cases filed against him across various police stations. In the recent incident, Bhadoria allegedly murdered a man in the Hajira police station area and had evaded arrest by previously firing at police officers.

According to police reports, a tip-off led the Hajira police station in-charge to Bhadoria's location within the forest near the Uttila police station limits, prompting a swift cordoning off of the area. Upon the police team's arrival, Bhadoria fired his pistol, leading to an exchange of fire where he sustained a leg injury.

Additional Superintendent of Police Krishna Lalchandani stated that Bhadoria, along with his accomplices, allegedly killed one Bhola Sikarwar in the Hajira area on June 2 and had been on the run since. Forensic teams are currently investigating the encounter site in the forest where empty shell casings were discovered.
