PM Modi's US visit aims to strengthen Indo-US strategic ties, boost AI collaboration in France

High-Level Talks to Focus on Technology, Trade, Defence, and Energy Cooperation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that his upcoming visit to the United States will serve as a significant opportunity to build upon past successes and deepen India-US collaboration across multiple sectors, including technology, trade, defence, energy, and supply chain resilience.

In his departure statement, Modi noted that his visit will mark the first official meeting with US President Donald Trump since his second-term inauguration, setting the stage for key discussions to shape the future of Indo-US relations.

“I look forward to meeting my friend, President Trump. I have very warm recollections of working together in his first term to establish a Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership between India and the US. This visit will help in further strengthening our collaboration for the mutual benefit of our people and a better future for the world,” Modi stated.

France Visit: AI and Strategic Cooperation

Before heading to the US, Modi will visit France from February 10 to 12 at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. A key highlight of his visit will be co-chairing the AI Action Summit, where world leaders and global tech CEOs will exchange views on the responsible and inclusive development of AI for public good.

“The bilateral segment of my visit will allow us to review progress on the 2047 Horizon Roadmap for India-France strategic partnership, along with my friend President Macron,” he added.

During the trip, the two leaders will also travel to the historic French city of Marseille to inaugurate India’s first consulate in France. Additionally, they will visit the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor project, where India collaborates with France and other partner nations to develop clean energy solutions.

Tribute to Indian Soldiers in France

As part of his visit, Modi will also pay tribute to Indian soldiers who fought during World War I and II at the Mazargues War Cemetery.

Strengthening strategic partnerships and fostering technological collaborations remain central to PM Modi’s high-profile visits to France and the US, ensuring India’s expanding global presence in key sectors.
