India-EU Bilateral Cluster Meeting Highlights

In a landmark meeting held in New Delhi, India and the European Union gathered to discuss several key areas of mutual interest. The focus was on enhancing connectivity through the India Middle East Europe Economic Corridor, promoting green and clean energy, and improving mobility and talent exchange. Security concerns were also addressed, alongside discussions about the Mediterranean region and potential expansion of the EU. High-level officials, including India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and several EU Commissioners, participated in the meeting. The dialogue underscored the importance of collaboration and highlighted the shared commitment to building a sustainable and prosperous future. Minister Jaishankar expressed satisfaction with the productive talks, underscoring the positive bilateral relationship between India and the EU. The meeting concluded with optimism towards strengthening ties further.

India and the European Union convened in New Delhi on Friday for a significant bilateral cluster meeting, focusing on connectivity, the India Middle East Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC), green and clean energy, mobility and talent, security, the Mediterranean, and the potential expansion of the European Union. The high-level meeting saw the participation of India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Union Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai, along with EU counterparts including Commissioner for International Partnerships Jozef Sikela, Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner, and Commissioner for Mediterranean and Demography Dubravka Suica. Acknowledging the fruitful dialogue, Minister Jaishankar shared his thoughts on X, expressing his satisfaction and highlighting the collaboration with the EU Commissioners and his Indian colleagues.
