      Haryana's Chief Electoral Officer Anurag Agrawal, stated that with the announcement of the general elections of 2024 Lok Sabha, the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect. Now, the Haryana government cannot announce new development projects. Projects that are already underway will continue. To address complaints of MCC violations, the Election Commission has created the C-Vigil app, where any citizen can submit videos and audio recordings, which will be acted upon within 100 minutes. This app will function as the vigilant eye of the Election Commission.

      Anurag Agrawal mentioned that in the previous Lok Sabha elections, approximately 70% voter turnout was recorded in Haryana, and for the upcoming elections, voters are urged to participate actively. The state has a total of 199,38,247 voters. He informed that there are 2,64,760 voters over 85 years of age, and there are 11,28 voters aged 100 or above. There are 41 voters aged 120. For such voters, arrangements will be made to either facilitate voting at polling stations or from home. The number of service voters is 1,08,572. There are 3,65,504 voters aged 18 to 19 and 39,31,717 voters aged 20 to 29. Women and men can cast their votes until April 26, 2024. Now, voting will not be based on the list; only adding votes will be required.
