A group of five differently-abled friends in Tamil Nadu has launched a restaurant amid the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the owners of the restaurant, Rathinam worked as a sports trainer for school children. Since schools were shut and all outdoor activities halted amid the pandemic, she lost her only source of income. When none of her sports certificates helped her get an alternate job, she decided to take a franchise of the popular restaurant Salem RR Biryani with her friends along with the help of an NGO The Voice for Voiceless Foundation. The eatery embodies a different world of sign language. They also take orders via video calls for home delivery.
