With the ongoing water crisis that's hit several parts of India, some companies have found a unqiue solution to deal with it. Atmospheric water generators are machines that generate water from thin air. They run on electricity and convert moisture from the humidity into water droplets. These droplets get accumulated in a tray and are filtered and purified, making them fit for human consumption. With appropriate levels of moisture in the atmosphere, these devices could provide a viable solution to India's water woes. Companies like Bharat Electronics and Watermaker are already experimenting with them.
