Fate of the 13th edition of the IPL may still be unclear but India cricketer Sanju Samson feels that having the cash rich league can change the mood of the nation. In an interview to The Indian Express, the Rajasthan Royals' star said that as a sportsperson he wants cricket to star as soon as possible as he just wants to go out there and play. Samson added that he respects the guidelines of the government but also believes that having the IPL now may change the mood of the entire country even if it is played behind closed doors. IPL was scheduled to start from March 29 but was postponed indefinitely due to the pandemic. BCCI is still looking for an alternate window to stage the league.
