The new-generation Hyundai i20 is off to a flying start and has received over 20,000 bookings in just 20 days since order books were opened on October 27, this year. The first 10,000 bookings were achieved even before the launch on November 5, while the premium hatchback bagged another 10,000 in the past two weeks since. Hyundai has delivered over 4000 units of the car pan India. The automaker also confirmed that over 85 per cent customers have opted for the Sportz and above trims on the new i20. Nearly 45 per cent customers have preferred variants enabled with the BlueLink connected car technology, while the range-topping Asta Option trim with the sunroof has seen close to 30 per cent bookings. The third-generation Hyundai i20 is based on the K platform that brings is lighter and more rigid, according to the company, while the car boasts of a completely new design and features. The petrol variants are witnessing more demand for the new i20.
