2021 Oscars: here's where you can watch best picture nominees

With just under six weeks left for the 93rd Academy Awards, now is the time to binge-watch all the movies nominated in the Best Picture category.

#1 Nomadland
Written and directed by Chloe Zhao, 'Nomadland' tells us the story of a woman in her 60s who, after losing everything during the recession, begins to live in a van and travel through west America. Starring Frances McDormand in the lead, you can watch the film streaming on Hulu.

#2 'The Trial of the Chicago 7'
Aaron Sorkin's directorial 'The Trial of the Chicago 7' is centered around the lives of seven people who are on trial for charges stemming from an uprising at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Starring  Eddie Redmayne, Alex Sharp, & Sacha Baron Cohen among others. The film is streaming on Netflix.

#3 'Promising Young Woman'
Written and directed by Emerald Fennell, 'Promising Young Woman' follows the story of Cassandra Thomas, a woman traumatized by a tragic event in her past. The film stars Carey Mulligan essaying the role of Cassandra and can be streamed on YouTube, Google Play, and Amazon Prime Video.

#4 'Mank'
David Fincher's black & white drama 'Mank' follows the life of screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz as he races to finish the screenplay of 'Citizen Kane' for Orson Welles. Mank is currently streaming on Netflix and stars Gary Oldman and Amanda Seyfried in lead roles. 

#5 'The Father'
Starring Anthony Hopkins in the lead, 'The Father' revolves around the story of a man who refuses assistance from his daughter and begins to doubt his loved ones while suffering from dementia. The film can be rented or bought through video-on-demand services.

#6 'Judas and the Black Messiah'
American biographical drama 'Judas and the Black Messiah' talks about the betrayal of Fred Hampto, chairman of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party in the late-1960s, at the hands of William O'Neal, an FBI informant. Directed by Shaka King, the film stars Daniel Kaluuya as Fred Hampton & Lakeith Stanfield in the role of William O’Neal. The film can be viewed on HBO Max.

#7 'Minari'
'Minar' follows the life of a Korean American family who moves to an Arkansas farm in search of the American Dream. Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, the film stars Steven Yeun in lead, the film is available for rent and purchase on a variety of video-on-demand platforms. 

# 8 'Sound of Metal'
With Riz Ahmed in lead, 'Sound of Metal' is the story of Ruben Stone, a heavy metal drummer whose life turns upside down as he begins to lose his hearing. The film can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
