Protests have erupted in at least 30 US cities over the death of unarmed black man George Floyd at the hands of a police officer in Minneapolis. Hundreds of protesters gathered in New York's Staten Island on Saturday to demand and over 200 protesters have been arrested by the NYPD. The former officer, seen in a video with his knee on Floyd's neck, has been charged with murder and manslaughter. At least six states in the US have called on the National Guard. Protesters in Philadelphia on Saturday vandalized a statue of Frank Rizzo, the city's former mayor. Mayors of Philadephia, Houston, Los Angeles and Texas have set mandatory curfews in wake of the protests.
