Pakistan opening batsman Fakhar Zaman has been ruled out of the upcoming tour to New Zealand as a precautionary measure after he developed potential Covid-19 symptoms. Zaman had tested negative for the deadly virus on Saturday but Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed that he developed high fever while on isolation at a hotel in Lahore the next day. As a result he was left out keeping the health of the rest of the squad members as a top priority. Pakistan departed for New Zealand on November 23 and will play 3 T20Is and two Tests starting December 18.
