Kings XI Punjab stunned league leaders Delhi Capitals after beating them comprehensively by 5 wickets in Dubai on Tuesday night. After electing to bat first, Shikhar Dhawan powered Delhi Capitals' innings with a stunning hundred as he became the first-ever to score back to back tons in IPL history. His unbeaten 106 off 61 balls was actually the only big score from Delhi's camp as the rest of the batsmen failed to support Dhawan. Punjab bowled well in the death overs with Mohd Shami being the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2 for 28 from his 4 overs. In reply, Punjab needed a blistering start but lost captain & orange cap holder KL Rahul early. Mayank Agarwal too followed soon as it looked like Punjab would fold early. Chris Gayle blasted 29 off 13 but the real damage was done by Nicholas Pooran. The West Indian blasted his 2nd half-century of the tournament as he scored 53 off 28 balls. The momentum carried Punjab past the finish line as they won by 5 wickets and registered their 3rd straight win.
