Zydus Cadilla has sought approval from the drug regulator to start human trials for its antibody cocktail to treat mild Covid-19.
Zydus said the monoclonal antibody cocktail which has been termed ZRC-3308 has been found to be safe and well-tolerated in animal toxicology studies. The therapy is a cocktail of two monoclonal antibodies, which imitates natural antibodies that the body generates to fight off infection.
Regeneron and Roche have got the USFDA nod for the antibody cocktail drug and Cipla is distributing Roche's product in India. Infact the first batch was dispacted earlier this week.
